Born as Tara Leigh Patrick she was raised in White Oak, Ohio. She got her first break when Prince spotted her and signed her to his record label. She released an album in 1993 it had moderate success. She posed for Playboy shortly afterwards. In 1997 she joined the cast of “Baywatch”. She went on to co-host “Singled Out”. In 1998 she eloped with Dennis Rodman. That relationship lasted 6 months when they got divorced. In August 2001 she anounced that was engaged to guitarist Dave Navarro - “Jane’s Addiction” and “Red Hot Chili Peppers.” Also dated rapper B-Real of “Cypress Hill”, and “Limp Bizkit's” front man Fred Durst.
